Jenara, if Areilon wants to take Andar as her henchman, she is allowed 5 maximum henchmen total, and he'll take up one slot. If you don't want him as a henchman, then Jocelyn can take him as one (she also is allowed 5 henchman slots). Andar won't work for Ouragana or Val, and Baeros can't take henchmen until 9th level.

You can direct your henchmen in battle, by giving orders during your turn. Your henchman will obey, unless it violates their personality to do so (like ordering a good character to slaughter innocents or ordering a coward to hold the line), in which case they must make a morale check or refuse to obey. (All henchmen have a base morale score of 15.)

You can equip henchmen as you see fit, but you are expected to at least provide them food and boarding when necessary. Henchmen expect at least a half share of treasure found, and they earn XP at 50% the normal rate.

Should neither Jenara or Horizon want Andar as a henchman, I'll just make him a hireling and we'll work out a contract instead.

Nah, I do believe you called dibs pretty early on.

Just let me know what kind of equipment you want for him. This is a small village, so there's not much. But you can get him the essentials now, at least until we get to the city.

The plan was to get him some clothes, a dagger, light crossbow, bolts, backpack. And perhaps some leather armor?

And is hitting on him after a nightmare is calling dibs? lol. Yay for Arei.

Clothes and backpack are no problem. A dagger is doable. Armor and a crossbow aren't very likely to be found in Condletun, though.

Okay, so dagger is 1 gp, backpack is 2 gp, and bedroll is 3 gp.

Clothes depends on what kind and so forth.

Rations depends on whether you want iron rations (more expensive, but they last a long time) or fresh food (cheaper, but they only last a day or two usually).

Horses? Well, I don't know how much use you'll get out of horses in a naval setting, but a riding horse is 75 gp.

Two daggers, best clothes we can get in this town arent going to be "top quality" anyway, iron rations, a few weeks, a waterskin..

And the idea with the horses is how else are we getting to Tu'Valie?

Okay, so two dagger are 2 gp, backpack is 2 gp, bedroll is 3 gp, a week of iron rations is 10 gp, and a waterskin is 8 sp. Cotton shirt is 4 cp and cotton trousers are 3 cp. You can specify the color, if you want.

Riding horses, as I said, are 75 gp. Riding saddles are 10 gp, saddle blankets are 3 sp, small saddle bags are 3 gp each (4 gp for large ones), bit and bridle is 15 sp, and barding depends on what type it is, naturally.

Do we really need horses? is going to be Ouragana's question. She can't ride and is none too comfortable around the big animals.

Walking will be more of an adventure anyway. I'm thinking that Val should swim around though, just so Mist know where we are going

That was what I was thinking. Then again, this is the same party that complained bitterly about having to travel through only 1 mile of mountains back in chapter one, so...well, maybe they've grown since then. :lol:

This will, naturally, separate her from the rest of the party. (Unless the party chooses to forsake the road and just walk along the shore, that is. That's a much longer trip, though--85 miles instead of 50.)
