CH 9: To the Walls of Pax Tharkas

Goldmoon suddenly looks and sounds very nervous. "Let's go back quickly. If this leads to nowhere, maybe it is a trap. What if the floor in the circular room moves upwards, blocking the passage or revealing nothing but a big hole? We'll be trapped in her forever!" She turns around, and starts to go back unless someone keeps her.

[Jenara]

Laurana rubs her head a moment, looking at the wall with interest. "Give me one moment, please."

1d6=6 Fails to spot any secret doors.

"Me look!" Magpie blurts out, her hands running over the stonework, testing the floor with her feet in a strange manner (Detect stonework traps/pits/deadfalls (1-3 on 1d6)=1d6=4 Fail)

Detect sliding/shifting walls/rooms (1-4 on 1d6) 1d6=4 Success.

Sturm glances around in his armor, his hands on Brightblade, would they ever find a way in? It seemed unlikely somehow.

[JadedDM]

The entire area is searched thoroughly by the elf, kender and gully dwarf. Just when all hope seems lost of finding anything, Tas accidentally steps on a hidden panel on the floor. The wall moves, revealing another secret door leading into silence and darkness.

[Breila]

Because no one else was moving backwards, Goldmoon had remained where she was. As the secret door opens, she sighs with relief and proceeds towards it, bringing light to whatever lies behind it.

[Jenara]

"Well done Tas." Laurana waits for the warriors to go first, "Caramon, Sturm, could you go first with Tas please?" She says moving back to the middle of the group, "I am starting to wonder if we will ever escape this place."

She shivers slightly, the thought of the Wraith still in her mind, had they passed it? It was unlikely.

[Jerrard]

"Certainly my Lady." Sturm bows and moves forward making sure Caramon moves with him." He grabs the Kender lightly. "Tas, you heard the Lady."

The party continues forward, leaving the haunted Sla-Mori behind, and entering the basement of Pax Tharkas.
