CH 4: Solanthus

[Jerrard]

Erastin pulls away from Galenye suddenly, almost as if he didn't mean to get that close.

"Greetings." he smiles. "We recently discovered a light gem, and were told you are the expert on such things, your skill is spoken of far and wide. I have heard they are attuned to one owner? We wish to return it." he steps forward, producing the gem in his palm.

The dwarf looks at the offered gem and pauses thoughtfully. "Wait here," she mutters and shuffles into the back room.

She comes out moments later holding a heavy leather book. After blowing dust from its cover, she opens it carefully and begins thumbing through the brittle pages. "Let's see...eagle...hmm. Ah, yes, here we go. I thought I 'membered carving thet one. Let's see, it musta been coupla years back. Did it fer thet young Kellin Solanius. Fine fella, him. The Lord Mayor's nephew, and a helluva knight. Thet what you wanted ta know?" She stares at Erastin with bright eyes, as if daring him to keep her from her work for much longer.

[Jerrard]

"Your help gag has been most useful, thank you." he gives her a knight ly bow, "He lives in the city does he not? I would like to return such a personal item, but I am unsure of the address."

He remembers being told the knight had gone home.

"Does he keep dogs?" he asks turning to start to leave.

"He has a manor, just outside of town," the dwarf says. "Through the west gate, and you can't miss it. And yeah, he does have dogs. Lots of 'em. Usually takes 'em on hunts with him." She crosses her arms impatiently. "Now...if that's all..?"

[Jerrard]

"Thank you have been more than helpful." He moves away, giving Targin a quick glance, dogs, yes, they needed to talk to this knight.

Seeing the shop was that small, Karathos had preferred to stay outside, looking up and down the street. "Anything useful?" he asks his friends as they come out.

[Jerrard]

"Indeed, the light gem belongs to Kellin Solanius, a Knight, who keeps lots of Hunting Dogs." Erastin replies as they leave the shop, "I wonder, we are under orders of Lord Guntar, would they just let us in?"

[HorizonsDream]

"All we have to do is say that we are returning his light gem," Galenye says. "That should get us inside."

[Jerrard]

"That would work." Erastin agrees, leading the group towards the castle.

[Nuke]

Targin adds his tanks as well "Many thanks me lady." with a curt bow, he exits the shop.

With that, the party sets off for Solanius' castle.
