The Merc Bar - Private thread for Angel and Liri

[Breila]

"Well, if you're looking for work, it is not me you should be talking to" Liri laughs, looking at Eldon and shaking her head. "I have nothing to offer."

[Jenara]

"No she isn't." Angel responds gruffly, "What are your skills?" She asks, attempting to make conversation.

[Jerrard]

"Me? I have many talents." Eldon grins, giving Liri a wink as he flips a dagger into the air, flipping it high and catching it behind him.

"So who would I talk to about getting out of this stinking hole? A Merc, ex Legionnaire if I am not mistaken, and an Elf, not the usual dregs that end up here. Plus people are hovering around you like a flies on shit." He grins at Liri again, "And it isn't because of your pretty looks."

He continues to juggle the single dagger, flipping it from hand to hand as he speaks. "You girls have a story I bet, and Mr. Gullible outside."

[Breila]

"Hovering around us?" Liri asks in surprise, straightening in her seat and looking around with wide eyes.

[Jenara]

"Typical show off." Angel comments under her breath, "Our story is ours to keep, and it is not for public consumption."

She ignores the strange man, turning her back to him, she looks back to the bar.

[Jerrard]

"Charming." Eldon frowns, dismissing Angel with a wave of his hand. Tough crowd, damn somedays life was hard outside of the Caravan, he only wanted to get the hell out of here.

"Hit me again Coil." He asks reaching over the bar, his eyes on the stack of Silver resting on the table between the two women. Did he have enough money? Damn it, maybe Coil would give him a break?

[Stik]

"I'll hit you. I'll hit you with my crutch. You get water if you don't pay," Coil says. "Don't know why I even allow you in here. Bothering people, knife stuck in the rafters..." the rest is lost in his grumbling.

[Jerrard]

"Yeah, sorry, I forgot." He reaches for his purse, the one on his belt, inside are a few silver. "What can I say, pretty Elves distract me." Eldons voice is loud enough for Angel and Liri to hear.

"Want me to work tonight? Bit of a small crowd."

[Jenara]

"I will distract him soon enough." Angel whispers to Liri, taking her hand.

[Stik]

"We'll see tonight. You can work for tips, pay the same tax as usual. But no torches." Coil routinely taxes freelance entertainers 25% of their tips.

[Jerrard]

"Sounds good, its better than nothing." He grins. "Look the torch slipped, it was an accident, how was i to know he was clumsy?" Eldon glances to where the stage would be. "He seems to fight ok with one hand."

[Jenara]

"Do you think I was too hard on him?" Angel asks Liri, watching the guy at the bar, "I felt, we protective of you, something I know I shouldn't do."

Angel watches him for a few moments, what was it she didn't like? He seemed cocky and self assured, still Liri seemed to like her, was that it??

[Breila]

"You were perhaps" Liri tells Angel. "He may not be used to women as assertive as you are. I will talk to him, he said something about people hovering around us, I'd like to know more. Oh, and pocket the money, please. It shouldn't be on display like this."

She approaches Eldon. "Pardon me, you said people were hovering around us, but I didn't really see anybody. Could you please explain what you meant?" As she looks at him innocently, Eldon cannot but notice that her eyes and hair are exactly the same color.

[Jenara]

"Me, assertive?" Angel laughs loudly, flipping her blonde hair back. "I will pay Scoots bill, and order some food." She adds as Liri moves away.

"Scoot left money to pay his tab, can I order some food too?" She grins at Coil, placing some money on the bar, her eyes watching Liri curiously.

[Jerrard]

"Well, I rather mean't that two pretty Ladies must have had lots of attention." He blushes, a little more nervous now the lovely Elf has come his way. "Sorry if I came across wrong ya know? I got a little Nervous."

Letting his dark hair fall in front of his eyes, Eldon shoots a glance at Liri, fixing his gaze on her eyes a moment.

"So you girls in a group or something? You and the Elf?" He asks after a short space of time.
