The Pod-Caverns of the Sinister Shroom (Game Thread VIII)

Once everyone ascends the root ladder and steps outside, they are greeted by a lovely spring morning. The horses seem much more at ease out of that damp cave.

It takes another hour to reach the village, its citizens just now waking up and starting their days.

It is now 7:15 AM.

[Breila]

(ooc: I assume the youths and Dekker were fine, camping out at the cave mouth?)

(OOC: Oh, right. Forgot about them. Yeah, they were fine and accompanied the party back to town.)

After greeting Dekker, Babushka swings herself up bareback and asks Locky: "Do you want to ride, too?"

[Jenara]

"Ohh please!" She says with excitement, finally the sun, she loved the sun. "When we get to the inn, can we share? Many people don't like us Kender, but if they knew I was with you." She smiles and goes to jump up on Dekker, waiting for Babuskha's hand.

"I have so much to tell you about Paladine! I don't know where to start!" She rambles.

[Jerrard]

"Indeed." Jerrard had said nothing since talking to Babuskha by the pool, sliding onto the Mare with the experience of a Solider he smiles.

"Thank you Wingnut, Sunni, your help was invaulable." Checking his weapons are intact he strokes the Mare softly. "Come lets go to Buho."

After an hour of travel, they reach the village of Buho, its citizens just now waking up and starting their days.

[Breila]

Babushka turns to Locky. "I would very much like to share a room with you, so we can talk late into the night if we want to.
But the first thing we should share is probably a bath and a meal, in that order."

[Jenara]

"Ohhhh!! I would love that!" Locky clasps her arms around the Gnome tightly almost squealing in glee. Her time in the Caverns had obviously been hard on her, now she was back in the light, her face was animated, her oice light and cheerful.

After stabling Dekkar and the two horses, the party step into the inn and find Elvenoff, Shay, Ulster and Merithina having breakfast. They all look at the party when they enter.

"Well, look who's back!" Ulster says. "Well, you guys don't look too bad off."

"You and the gnomes found each other," Elvenoff observes. "Does this mean you have successfully freed the horses?"

Sunni nods wearily. "They're in the stables. I'm...going to go lie down for awhile. It's been a rough night." For once, Wingnut doesn't say anything, merely nods in agreement. With that, the two gnomes head upstairs to their room.

Shay says to the three, "Why don't you join us? Merithina and Ulster were just telling us about Shrentak and what a great city it is. Can't wait to see it myself. We're going to travel down to the port of Crossing in a few days, then take a boat down there."

[Breila]

Babushka shakes her head. "Before I join any decent company, I need a long hot bath. But after that, I'll gladly come and eat with you."

[Jenara]

"Not without me you don't!" Locky shouts, grabbing into the Gnome, Locky follows her, after they get a room of course.

[Breila]

"I was not going to go without you" Babushka says, smiling.

[Jerrard]

"Allow me to get changed, freshen up and I shall join you." Jerrard answers quickly, he seems awkward, he nods simply to Babuskha. "Ladies." He says smiling at Merithina, heading to his room.

The innkeeper has a servant bring water from the well up to the one tub in the inn, so the girls can bathe (free of charge). Once they've cleaned and freshed up, the three return downstairs to join the others.

"So how did the little expedition go?" asks Ulster. "Didn't run into any trouble, did you?"
