Raistlin shrugs and follows after Goldmoon, though he does peer around with some interest at their surroundings.

Tas, Goldmoon, Raistlin and Sturm break away from the others to investigate the two paths before them.

They try the path to the east first. It leads to a square room that is well-preserved but for one exception: there is no floor! Mist billows from the gaping hole where the floor once was. Only about a square yard of floor remains on the northeast corner. A small box sits at the edge of the floor section. There doesn't appear anyway to proceed from here.

Backtracking, they now try the southern path. They find themselves on the opposite of the large hole they saw earlier. If they are careful and avoid the ledges, they may be able to proceed here, either across to the south or start making their way to the east.

"What do you think they will find?" Laurana asks, looking up to Tanis, he hadn't shouted at her in a while, maybe he was realising he liked her really? Or maybe saving him made him realise she was useful.

"Thank you Tanis." She says with a smile, leaning up to peck him on the cheek before turning away.

"I suggest we do not venture too far, if we go south we can backtrack very soon." Sturm hold Tas firm for a moment, glancing at the Cleric. "My Lady, after you." He offers a hand to help her if needed.

"Thank you" Goldmoon accepts Sturm's hand gracefully, more out of courtesy than out of need.

Tanis looks at Laurana in surprise. "Err, for what?" he asks, not sure he understands her behavior at all recently.

The party carefully navigates the next room, avoiding the ledges and arriving on the other side. Here they find more crypts lining a hallway. Cloaked in foul mists, a group of squat forms file into a line. They are gully dwarves. Many of them stoop and slouch in line. The line continues east.

"For letting me stay, silly." She giggles like a little girl, watching the passages for the others. "Should we go after them?" She asks Tanis and Flint.

As the three go after the others, Tanis sternly says, "I had no choice, Laurana. If what the Forestmaster and Mishakal said was true, all of Ansalon is riding on us finding these disks. This quest is too important to turn back down to escort you home safely."

Flint says nothing, deciding wisely to keep out of it.

Tas makes a silent sound indicating his awe at the scene. It's clear that he's checking things out. Kneeling, he says in a low voice. "Uh, is there where the dead hold their stuff? Do you think the mean guys making Flint's..errr...the gully dwarves work are robbing the place? I bet we could find something useful if we had beaten them to it first." He thinks about it. "I mean, we can't steal. We could have kept is safe of course. We would have to know that they were being robbed ahead of time, though. Then, we could keep this place safe from the bad guys and help our new friends." Kneeling, he inspects the tracks and floor area for old bones and debris among the filth of the place.

Goldmoon puts a hand over her mouth and nose at the foul odor of the mists, then lowers it. She tries to see what the gully dwarves are doing, without being noticed if she can help it.

"These creatures are obviously queuing up for something, I suggest we find out what it is." Sturm suggests, watching Goldmoons reaction. "Rastlin, do you have any spells to get them talking?" he asks, it wasnt something he wanted to do, but it was worth a chance.

Laurana glares at Tanis in a childish way, before walking slowly to find the others.

Tas doesn't find anything much. Likely the gully dwarves and draconians ran off with anything interesting down here long ago, if there was anything worth 'borrowing' to begin with.

The gully dwarves don't seem to be doing anything but standing in line. Some talk among themselves, other pick their noses, some stretch and yawn lazily. A few look back and notice the party, but don't seem to react in any way.

Raistlin glances at the Knight and nods slowly. "Stand back." he tells them.

He approaches the gully dwarves openly. "Come my little friends, I wish to speak with you." he brings his hands out of his robes and flicks a small coin across his fingers before making it vanish. He then leans forward and pulls it out of one lucky gully dwarves ear. His earlier years when he practiced the simpler magics being more than enough to impress these simple creatures.

Now, with their full attention, he brings his hands into a few strange gestures as he speaks words in an ancient tongue. His preparations complete, he waves his hand over the group of gully dwarves and a small wave of magic washes over them.

(( Raistlin casts charm person on the Gully Dwarves! ))

Tas watches Raist cast and ponders mimicking the gestures in an effort to prove his own wizardry. He keeps an eye out on the place around them, though. It's a rather interesting place.
