The Pod-Caverns of the Sinister Shroom (Game Thread VII)

"I guess you can't just send them back to where they came from?" asks Ulster. "Eh, well, we might as well head back to the others and let them know we're alive and the Shroom is dead."

[Breila]

Babushka laughs softly at Ulster's remark. "No, sending them back is beyond any of ours power. And I guess you are right. There's water here, and so they can stay here for a short while. But we must get fodder for them quickly, and devise a way to get them out then. So, let's go back to the others, shall we?"

[Jenara]

Locky grins, they were so lovely, the nicest accident ever.

"Lets, I can't wait to tell them all about this!" She grins and goes to the exit of the cavern, watching for anyone coming.

[Jerrard]

"Yes" Jerrard smiles weakly, "Let us go to them, although I will have to take much of the walk slowly, I am still quite sore." He stands near the stallion, "Are we to ride them, for the time being?" He asks Babuskha.

[Breila]

After a moment of thinking, Babushka answers: "Yes, I think we could try it. Considering how weak you and I are, we probably should. We will have to dismount on the slope though, that's to steep for them with our weight.

Maybe you should try to mount the mare. They're likely to be a bit shy, and stallions are generally more nervous" she says, apologetically.
"Ulster, could you help me mount, please? I'm a little short to do it on my own, and to weak to jump."

With Ulster's help, Babushka mounts the black stallion. Once Jerrard mounts the mare, the party begins to backtrack. They head back to the massive dark river, up into the room with the pools, past the room with the glue moss, pass by the storage room and the abandoned pod room, and finally back to the ascending slope that will take them back to the second level.

[Breila]

"We have to dismount here" Babushka says as she lowers herself to the ground, wincing because of the pain from her injuries.

"Ulster, would you please go first, they will follow the light. And slowly, please, neither Jerrard nor I nor the horses can go quickly. Locky, this one time, you should go last. Stay a little away from the horse's legs, though."

When Ulster takes the lead, she follows, with a soft "come" to the horses.

[Jenara]

"I guess.." Locky shuffles her feet, nothing ever happened at the back, she got the Shroom squashed and she Shroom, and now she was shoved to the back!

[Jerrard]

Grimacing in pain Jerrard climbs off the horse, his whole body screaming, "This is going to be a long walk" Standing by Babuskha he offers her his hand in support then climbs up the ramp.

[Breila]

With a smile, Babushka declines Jerrard's offered hand. "Thank you, but I'm the far more experienced climber. Better keep your hands for your own support. Use the stalagmites to hold on to, if you like."

Babushka climbs slowly, keeping close to the horses.

After a lengthy and difficult ascent, the party, led by Ulster, makes their way back through the funghemoth's chamber and return to the Shroom's bedroom. Everything is as they left it; it does not appear that anyone or anything has come through here since they last saw it.

[Jenara]

Locky walks to the Shrooms bed, lying down a moment, "We should make camp here!" She jumps up and down, fully aware that the others would tell her to move on.

[Breila]

Babushka stops in her track and looks at Locky. "You know, that is a very good idea. This bed is far more comfortable than the naked floor we'd have to sleep otherwise! And it's large enough to accommodate all the injured, I suppose."

[JadedDM]

(OOC: Actually, it's not a bed. It's a reclined couch. Although it is a large one.)

[Jenara]

Locky gives a huge beaming smile. Bouncing one more time she looks at Ulster, "We should bring the others here, your friends must be missing you." she grins, "I'll be back in a little bit!" she shouts, easily slipping past the others she heads to other cavern. Moving quietly down the river. (Have any fish been collected?)


"No Locky!" Jerrard shouts but its too late. Sighing he sits down on the bed.
