Babushka squats down and grabs her staff, just as the podman's fist flies right over her head. The other two podmen, now free from their pods, approach. One goes for Locky, but the nimble kender evades both of its blows. The fourth podman is unable to get close enough to attack, blocked off by its companions and the pool.

Suddenly, three beams of purple energy fly out of the far end of the cavern, through the darkness. All three strike Jerrard in the chest with concussive force, in succession, with perfect aim. The Shroom's wicked laughter follows.

(OOC: It's right at her feet, isn't it? Should be pretty easy to just pick it up. :) )

(OOC: Ahh, rats. Invisible Castle is not working again. :x )

Babushka picks up the Fungus Staff.
Podman 02 punches at Babushka (1d20): 6, miss.
Podman 03 approaches Locky and attempts to grab her (1d20): 2, miss. It then tries again (1d20): 11, bare miss.
Podman 04 approaches but cannot reach anyone due to Podmans 02 and 03 and the pool being in his way.

Hoopak in hand Locky jabs at the (2) Podman, trying to press the pointy end into the creature.

Unable to cast his spell Jerrard winces audibly as the missles hit him, his mind in termoil he draws his blade, lunging at the same creature as Locky.

"Torch, now!" He shouts at Ulster, stiking at the creature, his body shaking in fear.
1d20+1=10 (Also hit AC 9)
1d6+2=7 (7 Damage)

(How strange, both results are the same.)

Babushka, Locky and Jerrard all focus their attacks on the same podman, thwacking and stabbing at it. The podman easily goes down from the combined assault, letting go of the gnomish ranger in the process.

"Well, what do you want me to do?" Ulster demands at Jerrard's shouting, his frustration increasing. He cannot advance any further than he is, because of the other three in his way. He can't fire a bow while holding a torch, and he can't reach any of the podmen with his sword.

Finally, he just chucks the torch forward, over the girls' heads. It lands near the Shrooms' feet, illuminating all three of them perfectly.

Meanwhile, the two remaining podmen attack. One pushes its dead companion into the water and goes for Jerrard, but the wizard's Armor spell protects him. The other one grabs Locky, hindering her movement.

Babushka attacks Podman 02 with the Fungus Staff (1d20-4): 15, hit for (1d6): 3 damage.
Locky attacks Podman 02 with her hoopak (9, hit) for 7 damage.
Jerrard attacks Podman 02 with his short sword (10, hit) for 7 damage. Podman 02 falls.
Ulster throws the torch 30 feet. It illuminates the Sinister Shrooms.
Podman 03 attacks Locky (1d20): 15, grab. (1d20): 9, miss.
Podman 04 attacks Jerrard (1d20): 12, miss. (1d20): 10, miss.

His current target down Jerrard spies the Shroom, well all three Shrooms.
Unsure which creature to attack he sends his two magic missles at the shroom facing him, and the one behind.

1d4+1=5, 1d4+1=2 5 to the front Shroom, 2 to the one behind.

Locky grimaces as the shroom grabs her, trying to use her hoopak as a prod she pushes it out of the way.

Babushka smacks a podman's wrist with her staff, like an angry schoolteacher punishing a student with a ruler. Jerrard, on the other hand, unleashes two more magical missiles. Both hit different Shrooms, causing them to vanish into thin air. Only one Shroom remains now, and hopefully it is the last one.

Locky tries to stab at her opponent, but its tight grip hinders her movements and she misses. Ulster, now able to see the Shroom, readies Jerrard's bow. He fires off two shots, but one simply hits the cavern wall and the other embeds itself into one of the empty hanging pods.

Hissing at the light, the Shroom casts another spell, unleashing three missiles. One hits Babushka, one hits Jerrard, and one hits Locky. As soon as Jerrard is hit, he feels the Armor spell protecting him fade away from absorbing too much damage.

"Fools!" the Shroom cries. "You can't take much more! Throw down your arms, and I may consent to spare your lives!"

Of the two remaining podmen, the one holding Locky swings, but she twists in its grip and evades. The other one grabs Jerrard by the shoulder and takes a swing with its free first, but the wizard ducks in time.

The Sinister Shroom casts Magic Missile at Jerrard for (1d4+1): 4 damage, Babushka for (1d4+1): 5 damage, and Locky for (1d4+1): 2 damage.
Jerrard's Armor spell ends.
Podman 03 attacks Locky with its fist (1d20): 4, miss.
Podman 04 attacks Jerrard (1d20): 19, grab and (1d20): 2, miss.

Having no room for her sling to attack the shroom, Babushka uses her staff to attack the podman holding Jerrard.

Babushka strikes again with the fungus staff, but the podman sidesteps to avoid the blow. Locky manages to stab her opponent with the sharp tip of her hoopak, though. Jerrard has similar success with his own opponent, using his blade.

Ulster fires off two more arrows at the Shroom. One misses and clatters against the stone wall. The second one, however, catches the shroom in the left shoulder. The spell it was weaving fizzles, leaving the Shroom to curse impotently in the goblin language.

"Hey, I actually hit it!" Ulster brags, surprised.

Unfortunately, here things take a turn for the worse. Locky acquires a bloody lip from a solid punch in the face. Jerrard is cold-cocked so hard he drops to the ground, unconscious. Seeing the wizard go limp, the podman lets go of him, then turns its attention toward Babushka instead.

(Hmmm, post didnt happen.)

Locky takes a step back and tries to use her Hoopak as a lance, trying to push the podman out of the way, giving her access to the Shroom.
