*Personality: Echo is a very ambitious young woman. She wants nothing more than to be like her father, and she hopes to one day surpass him in magical talent. As a result, Echo tends to set very high expectations for herself.When those expectations aren't met, she comes down on herself hard. This leaves her very focused on her magical talent.

When it comes to other people, Echo tends to look down on them. She believes others are not as intelligent as she is, so they are not worth her time. She tends to be snarky in most cases, lacking empathy towards others and their feelings. Finally, Echo can become extremely jealous of those that exceed her (mostly in magical talent). She will often attack another ability a person doesn't do well simply so she can feel superior in some way.

Background Information:
*History: Echo was born and raised in Saltmarsh by her mother Anneka Leland. For as long as Echo could remember, it was just her and her mother trying to make some kind of life together. While Echo was given everything she ever wanted, she never knew what it was like to have a father. It was something she wanted desperately, but Anneka always shied away from the question whenever Echo would ask, as if she was ashamed of the answer. Though, even as a little girl, Echo was persistent. Sooner or later, she would learn who her father was.

As Echo was growing up, she didn't make very many friends. Most of the children around her age thought she was weird. She spent most of her time studying. Many of the children also thought it was weird that Echo was just raised by her mother. This fueled Echo desire to learn who her father was as she seemed to think that knowing this information would help her make friends.

Anneka finally revealed who Echo's father was when she was ten. Daos Soulstaff, a local mage and councilman was her father. In excitement, Echo ran off to tell everyone she wanted to be friends with that Daos Soulstaff was her father, but they just laughed at her. Echo just decided, after all of that, that all of those children were stupid (even though they hurt her feelings), and they weren't worth her time. Besides, she had other goals in mind: meeting her father, have him recognize her as his daughter, become his most prized student, and eventually surpass him in power to make him proud. Sadly, it didn't work out like Echo had planned.

Daos and Echo did meet, but he just saw her as some kid that wanted to study magic. She did become his student, along with a boy named Amon.

When Echo finally did tell Daos who she was, he just laughed at her. The thought was planted though, and he did start to notice similar features Echo shared with him. It wasn't until after he had a long conversation with Anneka that he came to accept Echo as his daughter.

Despite having hurt feelings (that she would never admit), she took on her father's last name just so she could show everyone that she was the daughter of someone important. All that was left of her goals was to surpass her father as a great mage.
