Wolf is most definitely unconscious, though his hand remains tightly wrapped around his staff which he will not let go of.

"We needs to go for to camp. I carry."

Bill will stoop, and with what gentleness he has in him carry the caster back to the wagons. For the record, its not much. Gentleness that is.

"If you need something doing..." Carith raises herself to her feet, reaching back with her axe she attempts to swing her axe at the roots, taking each one out in turn. Trying her best to dodge out of the trees reach each time.

"Bless your own weapons," Callan jeers in response to Hedra's request, and continues to attack the treant with his spear. "But if you want to do something helpful, some oil would be a real treat right about now."

"Oil? I would need to get it from the camp" Hedra says. She looks at the treant an can see Callan's point. Much of the tree is in flames, but not every part. It would be good to smash a vial or two of oil there to keep the fire going.

But before she leaves, she throws her hammer on the creature with all the force she has left. She then turns and hurries to the camp, as fast as her weariness allows, and looks for Torina, who is far more accessible than Iggy and hopefully has a store of cooking oil.

Carith's attempt finds her axe buried deep into the treant's root. The movement of the creature and the wet 'punkiness' of the rotted wood has sucked her axe blade in deep, making it stick fast. As the creature's attention is drawn from the flames (Which are now dwindling) it turns toward it's assailant with malice in it's intent. Reaching forward with a pair of massive, charred limbs, it grasps for Carith.

"Inky - fall back OFF THE ROAD so it follows you. I don't want to have to move this thing after we kill it."

Callan continues to attack, thrusting the spear at the treant's trunk when an opportunity presents itself but otherwise dodging out of the way.

Carith nods in silent agreement, he had the right idea. Abandoning the axe for the time being she shifts backwards, trying to avoid the creatures 'arms' and attempting to move it away from the road.

"So.. You want a piece of me huh?" She taunts, rolling backwards out of its lumbering grasp.

"Somebody burn this damn thing!" She shouts at the remainder of the group.

The treant flails about trying to grasp Carith, but changes tactics. This time it attempts to flatten her beneath the splayed branches it uses as 'hands'. He dodge is nimble, but between the bruises, cuts, and burns, she's not able to dodge fast enough and she is smashed beneath the treant's limb. Still in zombified pain itself, the treant leans closer to examine it's captured prey.

As it leans in, Hedra's hammer smashes into the charred hide, taking out a large chunk of charcoal. The creature reacts immediately, it's gnarled branches twisting as it turns to 'look' at the source of this recent attack!

"Huh!" Carith attempts to wiggle her sword free, her partially clothed form fights against the creatures crushing grip.

Hedra runs back into camp, dashing to the fireside, looking for Torina. The woman is already asleep, though is curled up next to the fire with a small pile of wood next to her, so she can prevent the fire from going out. She snores worse than most dwarven lords that she has heard!

-------------------------

As Carith scrambles for her sword she finds that she has more than a few scraped and burns; she now has several large pieces of timber splinters embedded in her, many pinning articles of clothing to her form. One has her sleeve pinned to her torso. Looking down she notices the rather nasty looking shard in her abdomen just below her ribs on the left side.

--------------------------

The enraged, smouldering, undead treant turns to look for the source of it's most recent assault and finds Callan, huddled behind his shield, spear raised and ready.

Hedra shakes Torina by the shoulder and whispers urgently: "Torina, I'm sorry to wake you, but we absolutely need some oil. the large tree we stopped for has turned out to be undead, we must burn it."
