Run the module as a meta plot and run the player game alongside it. :)

I'm still not following. The 'player game?' The 'meta plot?'

*sighs*

Right, the overall plot line that ties a campaign story together. It is known as a metaplot.

The player game is what the players act out with the GM.

I suggest running the module as a straight railroad due to the pure NPC status for the metaplot using NPCs. Meanwhile, you run a game for the players in the setting which lets the players participate in the story.

Okay, so I think what you are suggesting is that I run a game during the War of the Lance, but having nothing to do with the module storyline? Like, a game set in a place that isn't covered in the modules at all, like what happened to those human refugees that were blocked from entering Qualinesti (the ones Sunstar and Raven-eye went with), or something like that?

Eh, I don't know. I kind of wanted to run the actual modules since I already spent money on them (well, the first three, at any rate). But I think I'm just going to stick with one Dragonlance game for now (Unlikely Heroes). If I were going to start a second one, I think I'd set it in a completely different timeline altogether. Like the Age of Mortals (although translating everything from 3E would be a pain), immediately after the Cataclysm for a post-Apocalyptic feel (although the lack of magical healing would be trying, no doubt) or even during the Age of Might when Istar was still in full swing, before the Cataclysm even hit.

Odds are, though, that if I do decide to start a new game to replace this one, it won't be Dragonlance at all, but Planescape, Spelljammer or another one of my homebrew worlds (I've got like, four of those). But for right now, I'm kind of soured on the whole thing, so I'm just going to stick with Unlikely Heroes and Lost Souls for the time being, since I don't even have any real ideas for games right now anyhow.

I would like to finish out the adventure at the very least. So, the final choice can wait as far as I am concerned. :)

Yes, I don't like to stop something with the threads hanging all out, either.

Well, if we are going to at least see this module to the end, we're just waiting for Riverwind's action this round then.

A loud ringing bell; a magical alarm spell basically.

I'm not really sure what to say if I am honest. I guess Tas is on the back burner for the moment. Let me know when I can post a reply... :/

And there you have it, the end of the module. Sadly a bit anti-climatic, but I was rushing things to the end. I guess that is that then. Thanks to those of you who stuck with me for as long as you did.

yes, good job. Thanks for your effort Jaded.

I think the whole end-of-the-world thing hung pretty heavy over some of this.

Yes, let us give this scenario a rest. Maybe in a few month's time, a group of players will want to go on. I do not know the books, so I would be interested in principle.

In the next module, is there still the pressure to find and do things in time, or will the party get more leisure to explore?
