Re: OOC
Interesting introduction to the world, curious how the party will stay together after our journey with the caravan together is done. We don't have anything binding us together really.
Enjoying it so far though, so no worries there! Looking forward to seeing how the tree felling goes. Also, I now have the urge to just set it on fire and sort it out that way. *insert manic pyromaniac laughter here!*

Greatly enjoying it, too.
Like in real life, very different people have been thrown in together for a task and have yet to find ways to get along...
I'm learning a lot!

Re: OOC
I love the game, the world, the idea..
Carith has been causing me a few issues, mainly because I don't want to compromise her character and yet, not upset anyone.
Like Talyn says, not sure how we will hold together after this, but that's how groups usually occur, right now they have a common goal, I hope they will learn to like each other, Ie:
Carith realises that not all Religious people are the same, Gus learns to accept them all in his group. Wolf actually gives his real name... etc.
So basically, as long as Carith gets to kill a few things, gets to mend a few more desks, and maybe a few at the same time (IL I'll explain that later) and gets to "grow" as a person I'm cool......!
Now, I wonder what this tree is? And it better not be a Shambling Mound!!! *Grimaces and hides*. lol

Re: OOC
I actually hope that they don't really get to like each other. I find that a bit of friction between PCs can make for more interesting roleplaying (provided it doesn't get disruptive, of course). Disparate groups with different and sometimes contradictory goals, needs and motivations can function, and occasionally function really well, together.
Need an example? I'll give you two: the crew of Serenity from Firefly, and the crew from Farscape.
I find it interesting that everyone has completely moved into this world, complete with an inherent understanding of it. I don't know if that means Ish did a great job with the prelude threads (I came in late, so I don't have one) or that the zombie genre is so universal, and our players are all creative enough to have considered all the implications of a zombie plague in a medieval fantasy world.

Stik, I'd like to think its a combination of factors.
1. We are Good Role Players.
2. IL did a great job.
3. The setting is universal.
Yet.... I think the implications are far wider reaching than we think, which is why it will be so much fun!

Re: OOC
I can't say that I've put a lot of work into the game setting per se, but I certainly have put a lot of thought into it. (Mostly from at work where I have so much down time)
Reading World War Z and watching some post apocalyptic shows on Discovery and History channels gave me some inspiration as well. I think one thing that I want to add a bit more of is the rarity of monstrous creatures would decrease since there's fewer 'heroes' to slay them.

IL my friend, your missing some punctuation there! You have double negatives all over the place!!Breila wrote: Is it my English or is the last sentence a bit confused? I can't make sense of it.
Think he mean't:
Or something like thatThe thing I would like to do is reduce the number of monstrous creatures, since there's fewer 'heroes' to slay them.

Re: OOC
I don't doubt that you almost didn't get that exactly wrong, Jen.
He's saying that, with fewer heroes around to kill them, the rare monsters will become more common (reduced rarity = increased numbers of them).
So, when is the commercial break over?

Re: OOC
Of course, that assumes that the undead don't attack monsters at all, and that they also do not attack the prey animals upon which said monsters would otherwise...

Re: OOC
Stop over thinking things, Stik! You may inadvertently give away the plot!!!
Also, my family is doing some surprise renovations so my input for the next couple of days could vary. I may get to reply more or less often. It really depends on what all is going on.
