Congratulations!
It is fascinating to watch babies grow.

And sooner than you think, they're grown and leave the house. Speaking of that, from next Friday on, I'll be away from the computer for almost three weeks. We're bringing my son to College, and he chose one in England, so it's a larger move. Of course, it's still closer than what American families from rural areas experience with their kids going off to College!

Something amusing just happened in the current game thread.

I re-introduced an NPC (Maughus) who has been out of the narrative for a few days of game time (a few months of real time, sadly). Since he's been gone, a new PC (Ari) joined the party.

Ari just met Maughus for the first time, under circumstances that might be deemed...confrontational.
I do not know whether TristenC has read back enough into the thread to know who Maughus is, but Ari's response to their meeting was perfect.

Lol. Luck i guess. I purposefully didn't read the parts before Ari aside from the very first few game posts years ago to get a feel for the game/dm style. :)

My PC monitor suddenly decided yesterday that it doesn't want to turn on.
I'll try to post from my mobile, but posts will be short.

Just hung up with customer service. It's under warranty so I can send it in for repair free of charge. I'm just going to be without it for ten days or so.

Too bad sending our spare over would take longer and be a lot of customs hassle.

True, B. Quite true.

So I've grabbed a ten-year-old CRT monitor from my brother's old Compaq computer and hooked it up to my PC. The screen resolution is pretty lame, and it weighs about as much as a truck, but it will serve the purpose until I can get my monitor repaired.

Christmas is a week away.

I know what the week ahead looks like for me, seeing as my wife and I are having my family over for Christmas Eve and her family on Christmas Day.

I'm guessing it is likely similar for you, too.

What do you say we pick this up again after Christmas?

Merry Christmas everyone!

Oh, is it Chanukkah right now?
I only notice it if I am in Stuttgart where there is a (electric) Menora on the central plaza. I must admit that I don't consult my diary every day. At least I have one that lists not only the Christian and National holidays.

Anyway, a happy holiday season to all of you, whatever you celebrate!

My best Christmas gift? A book of collected short fiction by Terry Pratchett.
My worst Christmas gift? Bronchitis. Yay. Coughing until I nearly pass out. yay. Over-the-counter cough medicine, antibiotics and steroid therapy. Yay.

But on a more amusing note, I was in a mad dash to decorate my Christmas tree on Sunday afternoon, with company arriving in three hours and dinner yet to prepare. I got the lights on, and started putting on this string of silver beads that we use instead of tinsel/garlands (because cats eat that stuff) when I had a light-bulb flash of inspiration that allowed me to decorate the tree in record time.

Yes, my tree is decorated with Mardi Gras beads.

Where the character sheets are tracked? I don't know how many HP Galanis has...
Let's call it 1d6 falling damage if someone falls from the wall.
And, indeed, the bigger problem is going to be that they would then alone on the ground with a number of hungry undead - and with no dumpster in sight to crawl under.

I have everyone's character sheets. When this game started, the thought was to keep them private, so all that was posted was descriptions. And I don't have a standard sheet from you, BG, because for some reason you weren't able to download the form. But I can send you back the PM you sent me with Galanis' stats.

Happy new year!

I have the character sheet on myth-weavers, but I don't keep track on the daily status...
How many HP doesn't Galanis currently have?

Thanks.
