Re: BLII - Out of Character Chat
Oh dear... hope you will find time to recover during the week! Hopefully the reputation of your group didn't suffer too much. It's bad when someone doesn't perform as they should and then someone else has extra work and can't stop things from going down all the same - plus gets the blame at least from some people. Hugs! Hope this won't discourage you.

Without going into too much detail, a family medical situation has developed that has been occupying my time for the past week and a half, and will be continuing for a while. I've been spending three to four hours a day at the hospital.
Bear with me. I will post when I can.

I'm sorry to hear that, and I can sympathize. I've been through similar things in the past months.

I wish it will turn out for better.
Re: BLII - Out of Character Chat
Sad news is that it did not.
Yesterday was the funeral.
Things should settle down soon.

We are very sorry to hear. It is really hard to deal with such lost. Be strong and support each other.

It's that time of year again: the time when I, and ten thousand of my closest friends, bid the modern world adieu for a week or more and live out our medieval lifestyle. I'm talking about the Pennsic War.

I'll be out of touch from tonight until a week from Sunday, living life as a knight by day and bard by night. See you on the other side.

luck in battle
Re: BLII - Out of Character Chat
I am back. Got through a week of fighting without a scratch on me, and had a good time doing it.
I sang at a different bardic circle just about every night, and was well-received at every one.
Weather was decent (warm without oppressive heat, and only occasional rain).
And the trip home went quickly and without incident.
All in all, a great vacation.

Re: BLII - Out of Character Chat
And right on the heels of coming back from the war in Pennsylvania, there is more family news.
I've spent the past few evenings at the hospital, but for a good reason this time. My brother's wife gave birth on Tuesday to a beautiful baby girl, my first niece.
Both are doing fine, and should be released to go home tonight or tomorrow morning.
