Bei asks. "Right, who gets to go first?" It has a dark tone to the question. It is a choice between force and rogue skills.

"I suppose it all depends on what we can find out"

At the top of the stairs, Roggie un-sheaths his long sword very quietly and lays the hilt into the open doorway, just in case.

After listening for quite a while at the open door, he pulls out a small mirror and carefully reaches it into the narrow opening.

*The ground just inside the door is a rich, dark, loamy mixture, covered with mushrooms. The smell of damp, dank earth asails the nostrils. It is dark within the room, so not much else can be see of it. If one listens closely, there is a slight sound, as if someone is shifting through the loamy mixture.*

*In the time that Roggie has taken to examining the doorway; he will find, once he turns towards the stairway, a surprise....a gilted hand mirror and a lace hankerchief.*

"Well, something is in there"

"And what is this? Did you see anything, or did these just appear"

He calmly reaches for both items, and examines them.

"I am not sure." Bei admits and looks around. He is not sure what he sees at the moment.

(( does the group see it appear? ))

(OOC by LWW -since it's taking awhile for folks to respond, I'm just going to say that everyone was too busy watching the new guy to notice.)

"I suppose it is some type of a hint"

"Here goes nothing"

Roggie takes the handkerchief and deftly grasps opposing corners and quickly twists it into a roll and ties it around his head

Extracting his stone of light from his belt pouch into his right hand, and the mirror in his left (main) hand, he enters the room relying on his hearing and skills to survive.

(OOC - blindfighting/tumbling to stay away from danger)

*Roggie does not notice, as it is very slight, but his hair grows longer by one inch*

*As he looks around the area, a 2' tall walking mushroom, with a basket under one arm, comes into view and starts picking the mushrooms on the ground.
If he walks on further, he will see that the room is 60' in length, with a 10' alcove situated every 20'.
A second animated mushroom joins the first, also with a basket, and starts picking the mushrooms growing. They act as if they do not notice him.*

(OOC - the map of the actual room is posted on the Map thread; seems no matter how I resize it, it still comes out too large. So, look at it over there, and you'll get a better idea of my description. The above map gives you a better idea of how far you have traveled.)

"What do you see?" Bei asks the man with the mirror.

Backing out of the room, Roggie explains the mushrooms to the others.

"Just some walking mushrooms"

"let me go take a better look"

Stowing the mirror and the light source, he steps back into the room, carefully searching for anything worth the effort.

Bei says in a low whisper. "I wonder what they taste like." He lets the idea of a large mushroom dinner get the best of him.

after leaving the mirror and handkerchief in the hall, Roggie carefully reenters the room and begins a visual search looking for any treasure, doors, traps or other points of interest. Keeping an eye on the pickers, wary of any hostile action.

(ooc - start this moving again)

Bei waits to see what happens to his brave friend prior to following him into the room, but he stands ready to act.

*The mushroom people ignore Roggie and continue to pick their mushrooms. The floor is totally covered in the dank loam in which the mushrooms grow. There are no other doors within the large room, no windows, and nothing hanging on the walls.*

*There are many moss covered mounds and Roggie can see mushroom people sitting upon them, simply staring at one another. On one particular mound there is a mushroom man who is larger than the others; he has various mortars, pestles, and containers around him; and seems to be mixing ingredients together.*

*Roggie's hair has also grown another inch.*

carefully retreating out of the room, Roggie simply states "Nothing in there worth the effort"

"I suggest we move on"

looking at the door, is there anyway to close it and bar it from the outside?

(OOC by LWW- it can be closed, but not locked; there are no traps either)
