"I am not actually sure, If I am honest, I have never cast the spell." Jerrard says with an embarrassed shrug, "Sorry, That was inappropriate of me."

"Uh huh," Imani says. She remains a little confused as to why she was pulled in before the spell was cast, but she decides not to say anything on the matter. Instead, she just decides to guard the backs of Jerrard and Locky at this point. "Let's get moving."

Unfortunately, as soon as the party steps into the cave's threshold, it triggers some kind of magical alarm. A loud, high-pitched screeching noise emits in all directions from seemingly nowhere for a whole minute. The water only seems to amplify the sound.

"Looks like we better move fast," Temeral suggests once the sound dies down.

"Oh dear." Locky mutters, dragging the others along she moves to the cell. "We have to move fast!"

~Oh, we're going to die,~ Imani thinks to herself as she tries to hurry the cleric and mage along.

"Is anyone else thinking this is very bad?" Jerrard asks, as he moves in the water.

"Yes," Imani says. "Locky, you know where the children are, so we need to move a little faster."

"I'm doing that now!" Using her infravision as best she can, Locky heads straight to the Children.

The party hurries into the cave, mindless of any further traps. Thus it is quite a surprise when Locky steps through an invisible field and a jolt of electricity suddenly zaps the little kender. The water only serves to amplify the electricity, making it hurt even worse than it likely would have normally.

Up ahead, she spots the stone bars that hold the Dimernesti children.

=============

Locky activates an electric trap for (3d6): 11 damage. No save is possible, because the water amplifies the electricity.

"Ohhhhh Fudge!" Locky shouts, her silly topknot standing upright for a moment, "That hurt." forcing herself to be calm she scans the area for a few moments, before moving back towards the bars, walking around the area that caused her so much pain.

(Silly Locky, just imagined smoke coming from her hair there!)

Add: As she walks, Locky casts a healing spell on herself, aware that she needed to stay alive to cast the spell.

(Cure light: 1d8=7 restored)

The healing spell undoes most of the electrical burns she suffered. She manages to reach the stone bars without further incident.

Imani hangs back after seeing the burns that the kender received. She doesn't need to be in the air bubble anyway. Instead, she just pulls out her swords and remains on the guard. ~What are these going to do against a dragon?~ she asks herself.

Standing before the bars, Locky casts her spell, praying to Paladine she had enough power to pull this off.

(No idea what to roll!)

Locky had a great deal of confidence in herself and her powers, and to be sure, she had grown in strength considerably since she first started this journey. Unfortunately, she was trying to undo the power of a dragon--one of the most magical creatures in existence. She gave it her all, beads of sweat forming on her brow, but alas, she was not able to dispel the dragon's powers. The cage remained solid, the children still trapped within.

Meanwhile, on the ship, Babushka can just barely make something out on the horizon. It may be the dolphin, it may be a whale; it could be just about anything from this vantage point. It's clear, though, whatever it is, the boat is quickly outrunning it.

==============

Locky casts Dispel Magic on the cage (1d20): 7, fail. The dragon's magic is not dispelled.

Babushka returns to Ulster and Thuskar. Her head hangs low. "It was foolish to separate from our friends. I am afraid we will never see them again. The boat is going too fast for the dolphin to follow us." Her voice is getting thick, and she appears to be blinking back tears.
