From the Trog's column, Gorrorh looks around in a full 360...
* What was it mining/digging at (other than the chain)?
* What options from here?
* Any more sign of gobbos?

If nothing else moving - will head west - to where the three gobs can from

Linar readies his bow and crouches silently nearby.

The stench of the lizardlike creature is doubly offensive to his sensitive snout. Garroth circles the column, which has dozens of toolmarks on it, mainly near the chain. It appears to be a natural formation. The walls of the chamber itself bear pick-marks also. From what he can tell the Trog was chained here to expand the room. It also abears to have been beaten severely multiple times, bearing many scars and discolored patches on its leathery skin. Narrow passages run off to the east and west. Suddenly the pair realize the cave has become uncomfortably quiet...

Linar advaces to check out the passage to the south, skirting the walls to look for any sign of concealed or secret doors.

If nothing can be heard, Garroth will scoot to try west down the narrow corridor..

The drow moves southward to look over the new chamber. There don't seem to be any hidden doors or passages in the vicinity.

Garroth listens carefully, but no sound comes to his ears aside from his own quiet breathing. He crams himself into the narrow passage, ducking slightly as his shoulders brush either side. The passage opens up into another chamber. In the far corner stands a short stone table covered in some dark stain, and a strange design marked on the wall behind. Along the south wall sit bowls, earthen pots and small waterskins. The adjacent corner nearer him is piled with bones and bits of animal rubbish.

Linar hears movement from the north as the rest of the party steps into the intersection there.

Garroth moves south west about 10 feet, and strains all his senses as he looks around to the west and north.

Garroth sees that another hall extends westward. The room seems unoccupied; that is until Linar and Katten move quietly up behind him.

Assuming he knows north is a waste of time, Linar moves with elven quietness westwards, following its south wall to glance round the gate [35' moved] and peer southwards into the room that he visited previously.
If nothing untoward he continues west to then [60' moved] look north, south west and then south.
If still nothing untoward the elf moves quietly north following the east wall until something significant turns up, or a dead end causes him to head back [or 120' moved].

@Tristan - Does Linar know that the north tunnel from his current position is a featureless dead end?
