I am as surprised as you are! I am unfamiliar with Dragonlance and my Eberron experience is tied only to DDO, I spent most of my time in the Forgotten Realms. I also have nothing against Eberron, just haven't found a reason to really enjoy it.

I actually only really stopped DDO because my internet got really bad and I had to give it up. Later on, when we switched our ISP and things improved, I had sort of forgotten about it by that point, then took up STO and later FF14.

But all this talk of it made me, on a whim, re-download it. Turns out my characters are all still there, just as I left them, after three years of inactivity!

Apparently they also added a Forgotten Realms hub to the game. You have to get through 16 levels of Eberron to access it, though, but then you can switch between the two settings whenever you like.

Say, anyone want to start up a Planet-based guild? We can get our own airship and party together. Who's in?

Why do I suddenly feel like an enabler... ?

Totally in, but probably never on except early morning (CST -6:00) Saturday/Sunday [for crappy internet and undisclosed reasons]

Oh, oof. I'm in Pacific time, so that's 4 AM for me, usually when I go in for work.

just giving the standard offset from the prime meridian, don't soil your trousers. I'm not up that early on weekends, just work-days. It'd be starting more around 8-10am my time (10-noon yours, I suppose. Washington state, is it?) I suppose my comment was poorly worded.

You have my sympathies work-wise. I pulled a 4am start-shift for a while. No fun. Wrecks your day and night...

Yep, we're in Washington state.

I've been doing the 4AM shift for three years now. I can't remember the last time I had a good night's sleep. Well, three years ago, I guess.

Haha, I could totally do a 4am thing considering I work graveyard. Though, it could only be on my days off.

Do I hear a chorus of 'we only come out at night' building? It would fit my Ravenloft campaign stupendously!

Oh, quite the opposite, really. I mean, yeah, I go to work at 4 AM, sure. But I have to be in bed by 8 PM. So...at night I'm either in bed or at work.

Anyway, that's three people who might be in on this. I'll wait a bit and see if anyone else wants in, then we can pick a server and decide on what characters we want to roll.

Groovy-moose. There are always two breeds of odd-hours workers: those that stay up before work, and those that wake early.

I did a bit of DDO myself back in the day, the reason I stopped is because the people who got me into it stopped playing.
I love this idea, though, so count me in.

Awesome. Does anyone have a preference on servers? If not, I'll just pick one at random, because I don't think it really makes a difference.

Any ideas on what you want to play, in terms of class and race?

I tend to lean towards rangers of the elven persuasion...
