“The empire” is the only name for the largest nation in the known world, it expands over multiple continents and can field armies of more soldiers then the population of a province. It is home of many academies of wizards that change reality and find new possibilities that never existed before. It has killed most of the hostile dragons, and established relationships with the few that wish to help others with their vast knowledge. It has brought law, peace and prosperity to many lands and nearly wiped out crime in some of the more central provinces.

The empire is a rotten place to live for folk like you who thrive of adventure and love a challenge. That’s why you’ve travelled to one of the farthest corners of the empire to the province of Trevis, where the empire’s influence is weak at best, crime still exists and most importantly, it boarders the land of drow and orcs.

Orcs are a wonderful creature in the eyes of adventurers. Orcs are often bored by the lives led by humans and decide to spice up their lives with excessive violence and ale. This often stirs up problems with their neighbors, and wham - another quest. It keeps you in exercise, even if the storyline often is *this orc was drunk and killed the mayor* or *these orcs decided to burn this village just for laughs*.

Here's a map of the world (Subject to change as players discover more of the world):
Dark Green: Forests, Blue: River, Dark Blue: Swamp, Brown: Mountain, Grey: Bridge (over river) or great wall (Between mountains).

As a gauge of the scale of the map: In ideal conditions, your average human can march from the east side of the map to the west side of the map in 3 days. Similarly the average human can march from the south side of the map to the north side of the map in 4 days, assuming that they can find a route that's a strait line and clear terrain, no foul weather and no long breaks.
