After he coiled his rope back up and stored it on his pack, Adran commented concerning the group's resting place, If you would like to be away from the edge perhaps, we should either exit this place altogether or sleep near the entrance to this room. Outside would allow us to be aware surroundings due to the view or closer to the entrance to this room would necessitate that we only guard ourselves from two different directions and yet be far enough away from the chasm for comfort....

Pytor chimes in at the bard's remark. Well, we did find This when our young Pyros was... umm... playing the exterminator. he grins, producing the golden statuette of a wolf.

Mira gingerly takes the statue, resting against the rock, the wolf.. why was this place ALL about Wolves?

Mira inspects the statuette. It appears to be mundane, but likely valuable art object. Perhaps worth as much as a couple hundred gold to the right buyer.

So sir Karl is proposing they camp on the far Right side of the large canyon with the misty pit so as to put distance between them and the entrance to that area?

If everyone is good with that and there are not other things people want to do, we can prepare to close this scene.

[Since there have been no objections posted in the last week to staying in the room, I will take that as assent]

The group positions themselves away from the main entrance to the misty chamber. Jerry casts her magical rest spell on herself, the two unconscious small folk, and Pytor. While they sleep, most of the others remain awake at watch. After an hour, three of the four awake. Elsa is still quite weak from her near-death ordeal, but manages to move herself closer to the Kender to check on him. He has improved somewhat, but remains unconscious.

Chris, please include here or in your private thread which spells Jerry would memorize and use at this time before the rest of the party settles in for the night.

If anyone has any additions, now is the time. I will close this scene in two days and work on getting xp calculated.

Adran plans to share in the burden of standing watch, he also needs to get the requisite amount of rest so that he can learn his spells again. If he is awake when the others wake up (not sure of the timing of his watch) he will tend to their needs.

Throughout the night, Jerry, magically rested, prays over and tends several of the injured. An ominou pall hangs over the dimly lit cavern, and the healing words fumble out awkwardly. The restorative magics flicker feebly in this evil place...

Artanis, once rested says his own prayers and provides healing to the small folk and to Jerry.

Things got a little hairy there near the end, but the party stuck together and helped each other out. That's the best way to endure a place like this. So far, the have not yet found the Crown... Of course, there are still unexplored areas here and the other cave and the remainder of the Canyon. Several level ups in store! The group is getting stronger!
