"Allow me to enter next, I did not wish for them to enter before me." Karl requests, "I will ensure it is safe."

(If no one stops him, he will enter, shield up and sword ready)

Karl steps through and vanishes. After several minutes the portal has recharged

[Do Jerry and Merrick want to attempt to go through the portal together?]

Yes, that's the only way!

Jerry and Merrick move together, for the most part, but the Mystaran is the tiniest bit ahead and vanishes...

Jerry passes through the portal and finds herself standing on a cold stone floor, surrounded by fog. There is an eerie glow to the mist, but she cannot see any features through it in any direction except for the stone beneath her feet. Pyros and the others are nowhere in sight

She counts slowly and silently waiting to judge the portal recharging period (and adds a third).

While doing so, Jerry has a look around and a listen, but not moving from the spot.

Jerry waits a few minutes but no one else appears nearby

Jerry waits a few more.

[TristenC]

After several more minutes, nothing changes

Having had a good look and listen but getting nothing, Jerry takes out a copper coin and scores an arrow on it then putting a single nick in its edge.

Gatherng herself together she call out, "Merrick? Anyone?" several times in increasing volume.

Jerry prepares the coin and calls out but hears only a muted echo of her calls in the mist... until..

An eerie wind can be heard nearby, wavering in pitch almost like a song... straining she makes out what might be... words? A raspy crooning voice can barely be detected... Jeeeeeryyyyy.... Jeryyyy-Berryyyy.... where is my little one hiiiiiiiding?

Jerry puts the coin on the floor where she stands with the arrow poining immediately in front of her. She then steps forwards with measured, counted paces, mace and symbol at the ready.
