The Brink [of Madness] Act 1, Scene 1

A classic 2e Puzzle dungeon for High Level characters
Beware, this one is substantially longer and (IMHO) even harder than the legendary Tomb of Horrors!

Certainly it could, but a place such as this likely has it's own hazards in the Ethereal plane. And we would have less resources in that domain than we do on the Prime... The effectiveness of our allies in that realm would almost certainly diminish, leaving the bulk of the 'heavy lifting' so ourselves... However, she smirks, I can prepare it for tomorrow as an option

Ignoring the talk, Jack will continue looking around the statue for inscriptions or levers/buttons, seams.
Focusing on the lines Axid finds, to make sure they are not triggering a trap.

Jack searches around but doesn't find any levers, triggers or buttons. He confirms the lines Axid found and it seems reasonable to him that they indicate the seams facilitate movement in the way described and do not seem to be trapped.

"From what I can tell, these are the only moving parts. And they do not seem to be trapped."

Jack will move onto the walls of the room. Staying off the floor.
Looking mostly for something that will control the Statue.

Axid will search again looking for signs of wear on the statue or possible grime from use. “Since things seem to move about where those hands are then perhaps there might be some kind of knob, lever, or slot in which one might fit a key or operate something to get the parts to move.”

"My gratitude." Ke'Sha answers Allahain.
Then he asks Gur telepathically to fly down and see what's the delay. Ke'Sha will see and hear through the Quasit eyes, and help with the search on the statue as best as he can.

Power score WIS-3 [Levitate][1d20]=7
Axid levitates up the back side of the statue to get a closer look at the seams where the arms are and then try grabbing on to the head to stabilize the floating.

Jack begins to check the walls of the chamber below, starting with the West. Painstakingly he searches, prods and feels for any catch or latch but finds nothing yet by the time he has cleared the 20 feet of the West wall from the ground up. Gur searches the statue as well but doesnt find anything.

Axid concentrates and lifts into the air, using handholds on the huge statue to steer himself. Looking at the seams, it
(Is Axid maintaining the Levitation during his search? if he holds it for 10 minutes that will cost 20 psp total not counting activation)

Allikhain speaks idly as she too begins to search the walls of the area above out of curiosity. Indeed, stone to flesh would suffice. Or I could transform the statue into a heap of mud... though we should be certain to clear our allies from the floor of the chamber before we do that at least. A construction that size would make quite a mess. She admits.

It seems they are... Both Jack and Axid are in the air at the moment.

[The rope currently extends basically from the door on the upper floor down to the ground in the pit almost exactly, it remains hanging in place for anyone to use]

Of Course, Landro says, I will keep it steady for you and maintain watch from here, as you search. I can help haul someone up quickly if needed.

Jag will cautiously go down. Then start helping, asking Jack where to start.

Jack will just point and continue searching.
