Labyrinth OOC

A classic 2e Puzzle dungeon for High Level characters
Beware, this one is substantially longer and (IMHO) even harder than the legendary Tomb of Horrors!

Alrighty Folks, first game-post is up! Mostly plot/story to get everyone set up right outside of the dungeon.
Any finishing touches to a character I'd like to get wrapped up in the next week if possible.

Welcome to the Labyrinth!

All right all

I have six questions I can ask about the scepter ... any ideas I have 4.

1. Who made it
2. What are its powers
3. How can we free the Paladin from it.
4. What can we know about those symbols we were given

I'd just like to say that if we were all sitting around a table playing live this would be a valid question

4. Seems a bit open ended.

Maybe try to put a couple more pointed questions in there.

Do the symbols correspond to something in the labyrinth?
Do the symbols have to do with the health of Sorril?
Does changing the symbols do something to the use of the scepter?

Sounds good actually..

1. Who made it
2. What are its powers
3. How can we free the Paladin from it.
4. Do the symbols correspond to something in the labyrinth?
5. Do the symbols have to do with the health of Sorril?
6. Does changing the symbols do something to the use of the scepter?

We go with that?

Hi,
No offense there but the answer to three is "complete the module" :)
The answer for 4 if probably a flat "Yes"
About 6, how would you change the symbols? You mean to engrave them on the scepter or slide them on it? Since I don't think they are mobile.

Maybe you can ask if it is destructible and if it is damaged would that harm Sorril?
Does the scepter required to pass the dungeons (operate some door? Required at some altar?)

Again, it's not that I have better questions to ask. :)

HOw about changing the order of the symbols? There are way too many questions or options lol

Hi, I meant that beings from other planes will answer vaguely so for 3 and 4 their answer would not help much. If you get "Yes" or "No" for q4, will that help in anyway? If you get "Defeat the evil that captured him" will it help? Well... maybe in Q3 you may get a more informative answer in case it is not defeating the evil. Maybe you can rephrase it as, "is there a way to avoid defeating the evil that capture Sorril soul and still free him?"

Allikhain would likely know that such open ended questions often return with vague answers, and yes/no questions are answered with minimal effort. (as bish has cautioned)
