Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
Assuming the draconian isn’t looming too closely over the musician, Grubnick helps the man to his feet and slips him a couple of steel pieces; careful not to let the lute fall again. Perhaps you had better cut your losses and head back to your room when they aren’t looking, Grubnick whispers to him....

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
Grubnick takes a quick look into the fireplace to see if there is a chair-leg sized stick; or better yet, a metal fire-poker. Looks like things are heating up... He waits to see how the lute player responds and what the draconian does; planning to intervene if the musician seems likely to be hurt. O...

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
Letting the spell end, Grubnick replaces his holy symbol around his neck beneath his shirt. Digging a rag-wrapped oil fkask from his pack, he stashes it in his large belt pouch. He leaves his pack, weapons and shield in his room (save for the dagger in his pouch) just as before. He closes his window...

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
OOC: would I be right in assuming from the phb spell description that this means they are either very powerful (i.e. 9HD), or unnatural? Or does it just mean they are pretty much pure evil?

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
After observing the khas game for a bit longer, Grubnick heads upstairs at a natural pace. Once upstairs, he checks that no one is in the balcony area. He then moves to the southeast corner, keeping closer to the east wall so as to be less visible. Fishing his small holy symbol out, he holds it agai...

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
Night of the eye? isn't that when the moons are aligned? , he asks, tilting his head curiously. I heard that's the only time you can see the dark moon… I've never seen it myself, what night is that? Waiting for the young man's answer, Wow, maybe I can catch a glimpse of it! He smiles, but then his ...

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
(OOC: 6 Cha. kinda ugly, even for a goblin ;) at least he's a nice guy, though!) Grubnick chucles good-naturedly. Money? No, no; nothing like that , he smiles. I don't want any money. In fact, let me buy you a drink for the interruption. I saw you were reading, and since I like to read I naturally w...

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
Grubnick sips his beer letting his mind work it's way around the problem. The goblins' natural jealousy would work well for him. With the goblin and draconian forces mostly segregated, however, it would be tough to force a conflict. Unless... I get involved directly... Shaking his head sharply, he d...

Re: CH. 6: Nobody Expects the Occupation
Taking a seat near the game, provided it doesn’t place him next to one of the soldiers, Grubnick quickly counts the number of Draconians and takes mental note of what they are up to (if there is anything more specific going on than general carousing). He also checks to see if there are any other gob...

Re: Character Descriptions
At first the figure before you seems to be an ordinary goblin. His rough-looking hide armor, shield and mace giving him a war-like air. He stands 4'2", but without as much of a hunch as most of his kind, and is somewhat cleaner. An oft-broken nose and a few scars decorate his face. One scar in ...
