Artanis muses out loud in a relaxed tone. "Folks going about their chores - seems as some things remain the same wherever one is. I wonder if the others are having luck fishing for clues?"

Artanis puts some bait on the hook again, casts the line into the water and takes a seat on the side of the dock.

Artanis looks around to see if there are other fishermen who may want or appreciate having a freshly caught fish given to them. If not, he and Cross will bring the fish in, remove the hook and release it back into the water. Seeing that they have no place to take the fish and cook it.

Artanis carefully hands the pole to Cross - keeping hold of it until he is certain that he has a firm grip on it before the ranger lets go. "Let it fight for a bit, so it will tire itself out. Then bring it in."

Artanis moves sort of quickly to the pole and will attempt to set the hook and land the fish. "It appears we have hooked a fish, Cross. Would you like to try your hand at landing it?" The ranger grins from ear to ear.

As is he standard operating procedure, while enroute to the wharves, Artanis watches and observes, paying particular attention to the defenses of the town. "The fish wouldn't be fooled by an illusion, but thanks for the offer. I think we've found a nice, promising location here." Artanis m...

Artanis decides it's actually time to try and do some real fishing, and spying the wharves beyond he says to Cross: "Let's move to the wharves and have a go at the fishing there. Now that I've rested some from the journey." Artanis gathers his gear, and will wait for Cross before striking ...

When Artanis feels motivated to actually try to catch some fish, he will move off to the wharf area. But for the time being, he is going to enjoy a relaxing time napping.

Artanis will check his pole every so often to ensure his hook is still baited, but otherwise will lounge, leaning on his backpack and enjoy the day. This was akin to an oasis away from the town. Artanis grins and quips to Elsa: "Fish are typically not that conversational."
