Calah settles in at the front and leads the way without further comment, assuming no further noteworthy events.

Calah says, "The way was safe as of our passage out and my return here. It would be a reasonable assumption that it remains so for the time being. As for that which is worthy of report, there is a homestead a ways ahead. The others are discussing the particulars of our arrival and potential sta...

Calah returns to the group. Catching the tail end of Galanis's comment, which was partly about her, she says, "I thought I heard some ringing in my ears."

"As you wish," Calah says. She tugs on the reins of her horse, turns, and heads at a trot back to the rest of the group. She takes a soft breath and relaxes as she leaves the company of the others, trotting down the empty road.

"I think food is always welcome," Calah says. "Shall I return to the others with our findings?"

Calah remains silent through it all, her dark, nearly black eyed gaze floating across the surroundings, examining everything in a comprehensive sweep of the area.

Calah directs a sly smirk at Galanis as she turns to follow Maughus and Liri away. She chuckles quietly about something as she rides away.

"Don't have to tell me twice," Calah says. The short, dark haired woman gives her gear a quick check and falls in with Maughus, wordlessly from that point.

After stretching her arms and upper body a bit while muttering to herself, Calah starts rummaging around in her things for something to eat. She finds a bit of something or other, eats a few bites, then nibbles down on a second item, all the while keeping more or less to herself.

Calah lets out a breath, sounding like she's deflating as she realizes what the disturbance was. "Never knew a man to bed a skunk on purpose," she mutters to herself as she drifts away. "Skank, sure. Skunk, no."

"That can't be good," Calah says, her eyes narrowed, still holding a blade in each hand. She glances at Angel, ready to follow her lead.

Noting the strange sight and the response of the others to it, Calah draws up behind Angel, her eyes narrowing subtly. She draws a dagger with each hand and silently waits for further developments.

Farewell, Jason. Perhaps you'll be able to return in time, if things settle down. Take care, until then.
