Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"I hate to be the constant source of Drow solutions," Benji offers, feeling a little better after breakfast, "But I'd be doing disservice were I not to suggest distracting the guards and then slipping in. 'Tis easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission when dealing with any but my ...

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Benjamin was drained before, but after the extended watch he isn't much recovered. He rubs his eyes and tries to perk himself up with another square of his chocolate, mumbling to himself as he wipes the melted part from his hands and just happy to follow along. "Good Zurgo," he growls, &qu...

Re: OOC: The Quest of the Missing Quill
So given Zurgo's post, I'm imagining that he's allowing Dubok to take his best shot before combat begins. However this DOES bring up a rather interesting rules question that I've been thinking about, and that is this: PvP in D&D is really quite deadly, and I have a house rule to deal half damag...

Re: OOC: The Quest of the Missing Quill
In for a penny, in for a pound.
At this point, I'm not sure how you intend to avoid a fight. It might be better to rip the band-aid off and duel him to reduce total orc enemies.

Re: OOC: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Looks like they're sort of having an alpha male contest here. Given the low chance of Zurgo offering apologies and the highish chance of Zurgo receiving death, probably should just let them hash it out 1v1 or 2v2, maybe cheating a little if he's getting smoked.

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Benji also stops dead to size up the situation, trying to make out what weapons the orcs are carrying.

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Ben pulls downwards at his eyes a bit, realizing things are probably about to turn sour. Checking his lute and weapon, he mentions "I'm not sure if you gleaned any of that, but I think we ought reinforce our diplomatic party."

Re: OOC: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Although a lot of his relevant modifiers are high, it'd probably be better not to send Benji while's he's drunk. Probably Gaheris/Jasmine and Zurgo would be the most balanced parley team, although you could really probably get away sending all three and Benji can still act as radar for the back grou...

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Ben perks up just enough to point out the identity, sporting bags under his eyes still as he reads the situation, "Six count... nay, ahhh, five orcs up ahead. Waving a- no, it couldn't be..."
The bard nearly drops his lute. "Today will make for a good song, methinks."

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Despite having picked out the group they are coming up on in the first place, Benji is likely the least interested in their existence. Still nursing his throbbing headache, he uses the lute to block the blaring sun from his eyes as he continues to focus on one leg going in front of the other. He alm...

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Benji, still not entirely awake, is a bit surprised to be taken by the shoulders so readily. As Ishan walks off, he coughs so that a small chuckle isn't heard, and silently makes certain that they haven't forgotten to tell the orc- whose name escaped him as the headache continued to throb, looking a...

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
The bard only slightly overhears the bad news over relieving himself. It seems like it doesn't register for a while. "Ah, yes," He says apprehensively after a pause, "THAT matter. Well, after I'm done with this I suppose I'll extol the virtues of making oneself scarce to my happy comp...

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
A thud and a groan sound out as the key clacks in the room's lock. A pile of linens with a red, bleary-eyed drow in nothing but his undercloth lie in an assorted heap on the hardwood floor, hair everywhere as the knotted mess attempts to untangle itself. "Hurgh... I feel I may have... made some...
