Saul nods in agreement and goes to the closest door. He takes up a position just along the edge of the door frame so he can see out, but it would be difficult to see him from outside.

Bastian makes his introductions, draws himself a draught of ale and slouches in a chair at the table. When Calah makes her comment about one of her stories, he smiles a goofy smile, points his mug at her and simply says, "I like her!" Unexpectedly he looks into his mug, frowns briefly, shr...

Bastian is otherwise distracted with his thoughts, but he replies none the less. "Oh? You met a priest that you trust? I hope to meet him one day." The vacant look in his eyes and faraway voice doesn't deliver the same mirth that Angel is used to. Without more words he strides forward and ...

"Hrumph. I think I may have found the emergency latrines." Wrinkling his nose, Saul lets the trap door slam shut. Perhaps the noise will shock the rest of the party out of it's stupor.

Bastian is unusually taciturn this evening. Hearing that no one went to the funeral pyre for his comrade-in-arms seems to have affected him more than on just a spiritual level. Something in his being has him thinking about his final moments and whether anyone will send off his soul to the afterlife....
